Passport photos have strict government requirements that vary by country — dimensions, background color, head size ratios, and expression rules. Getting these wrong means rejection at the application stage.

Most countries require a white or off-white background, neutral expression, and the subject facing directly at the camera. The pixel dimensions listed here correspond to the standard print sizes at 300 DPI.
